SAFETY
It is the policy of Secon Construction Services Ltd to comply fully with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005, the Construction Regulations 2013 and the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Applications) Regulations 2007, 2010 & 2013 to ensure so far as is reasonably practicable the safety, health and welfare of all employees at our places of work.
It is also the policy of Secon Construction Services Ltd to protect persons not employed by this company who may be affected by our activities as far as is reasonably practicable.
All our employees have the responsibility to co-operate with our supervisors and managers to achieve a healthy and safe workplace and to take reasonable care of their own welfare and also of co-workers and others.
It is our policy to consult and advise all staff and employees on matters of Health and Safety. Employees are notified of the Company Policy and are encouraged to comply with their duties under the 2005 Act: General App 2007 Regulations and the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006 and to notify the company management of any identified hazards in the workplace.
It is the Policy of this Company to consult all staff and employees on matters of Safety and Health, and employees are hereby notified of the Company Policy and are encouraged to comply with their duties under the 2005 Act: General App 2007 Regulations and the Safety, Health and Welfare at work (Construction) Regulations 2006 and to notify the Company Management of identified hazards in the workplace.
The company safety statement is distributed to all project leaders, Safety Officers, Construction Managers, and Supervisors and shall be available at locations where Secon Construction are engaged in work activities.
Secon Construction Services Ltd has been accredited to the Safe-T Certification system since 2014. Since then, Secon Construction Services Ltd has improved grades on our 2015 audit. The company is audited annually to maintain and improve the grade.
It is Secon’s goal to continually improve on our Safety performance, to aim for Zero incidents and to operate in a safe and responsible manner with respect for the health and safety of our employees, contractors, clients, and the environment in which we operate.
